Dr. Mohammad Yasir
Assistant Professor (Chemistry)
Dr. Mohammad Yasir is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Physics, and Atmospheric Sciences at Jackson State University, USA since 2022. Dr. Yasir earned his B.Sc. (Industrial Chemistry) in 2012 and M.Sc. (Industrial Chemistry) in 2014 both from Aligarh Muslim University, India. He was awarded with University Gold Medals for securing first rank in both of these degrees. Dr. Yasir earned his PhD (Chemistry) from University of Fribourg, Switzerland in 2020. He worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at ETH Zurich, Switzerland (2020-2021). Then, he joined Carnegie Mellon University, USA as a Postdoctoral Researcher with Swiss National Science Foundation Postdoc Mobility Grant (2021-2022). Dr. Yasir has published several research articles as a lead author in prestigious and high impact journals such as Nature Chemistry, Angewandte Chemie, Small, ACS Macro Letters etc.
